Mission Statement

UYLC embraces an inclusive, caring, and connection-centered learning environment where every student can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. Through collaboration and the use of evidence-based strategies, we strive to enhance self-confidence, self-regulation, and social-emotional skills in our students.

Our Approach

At UYLC, meaningful learning begins with connection. We build strong relationships with each student to create a safe, supportive environment. Through individualized support, functional academics, life skills instruction, adaptive activities, and real-world learning experiences, we help students build confidence, independence, and the skills they need for everyday life.

Who We Serve

UYLC serves neurodiverse students, with an emphasis on the autism population, who benefit from a small, structured, connection-based environment where relationships come first. Through individualized support, functional academics, intentional life skills instruction, adaptive activities, and real-world learning experiences, we help students build confidence, independence, and the skills they need to navigate everyday life.
